Surtek 3969 Silane Modified Adhesive Sealant

 

DESCRIPTION

Surtek 3969 is a one-component elastic bonding adhesive sealant based on silane-modified polymer. It combines the advantages of both polyurethane and silicone, and thus is a new generation adhesive sealant. It is applied for adhesion and sealing with high elasticity and strength. It is heat resistant and cures quickly to form durable.

APPLICATION

Surtek 3969 can be used for the elastic and dynamic bonding of metal, wood and plastic, and elastic sealing of joints and seams in following industries: bus body, railway carriage, container, equipment engineering, air-conditioning and ventilation, metal and sheet metal working, plastics technology, ship building, etc.

 

ADHESION

Surtek 3969 has good adhesion on metal (fresh, parkerized, galvanized, painted), stainless steel, copper, aluminum (fresh, anodized, painted), glass, PA, PVC, PUR, polyester, most thermal plastics, EPDM, etc. But prior test is absolutely necessary.

 

PROCESS

Cleaning:

Clean surface to ensure the surface being clean, dry, free of oil, grease, and of sound quality.

Application of sealant:

Cut tip to desired shape and size. Puncture airtight seal. Install with hand or power operated gun and extrude the sealant into the joint. Clean excess sealant using hard rubber plate or finger wet with soap solution.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE

Store in a cool and dry place (10~25 °C recommended). Avoid damage to the package. When stored at the recommended conditions in original, unopened containers, this product shelf life is 9 month (cartridge), 6 month (sausage).
